TAMPA, Fla. -- Above you'll find my questions at the Super Bowl week press conferences of Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt, Walter Payton Man of the Year Award finalist Matt Birk, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin and Pro Football Hall of Famer Bruce Smith.
There's so much information overload during Super Bowl media week that it's hard to think of anything to ask that hasn't already been asked 100 times. The press conferences aren't like media day, where players are getting questions from drag queens and sock puppets, but they also don't often elicit answers that break any new ground.
I asked Whisenhunt what I think was the central question facing his team: How do we know the bad Cardinals team we saw in December won't return in the Super Bowl? I asked Birk about his work to support retired players, Tomlin about his preparation in the final hours before the Super Bowl and Smith about the other members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2009.
Sometimes the Super Bowl feels like one long week of press conferences. I'm glad the talk is about to end and the game is about to begin.
