On Wednesday, word from "city sources" suggested that if the Steelers won the Super Bowl on Sunday, Pittsburgh wouldn't have a parade for budgetary and safety reasons. Last time the Steelers won, it cost the city $45,000 in security and cleanup. Gee, all cities should have such problems.Well, no worries. Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl says that the idea of a parade is not dead, and if the Steelers won, there would be an appropriate celebration. But he didn't want to comment too much on the story for fear of being a big fat jinx, and the person solely responsible for the Steelers losing.
Too late. You said enough. If the Steelers lose, it is all on you, pal. Of course, the NFL Shop is trying to jinx everyone by allowing fans to pre-order their Steelers/Cardinals championship gear (see the T-shirt on the right).

How about a crazy idea like the Steelers themselves paying for it. $45,000 is absolutely nothing to a team, the parade is more for the fans of the team then the team anyway.
